Day 1: Lisbon Old Town, Alfama & Iconic Views
Start your Lisbon itinerary in Baixa and Chiado before heading into Alfama, the city’s oldest district. Day 2 – Belém & Riverside
Spend day two exploring Belém, one of the top things to do in Lisbon. Visit iconic landmarks like Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery, both UNESCO-listed sites. Don’t miss trying the famous pastéis de nata before enjoying a scenic walk along the Tagus River.

Walk along Avenida 24 de Julho to LX Factory – discover murals, shops, and quirky cafés

Day 4 – Sintra or Cascais Day Trip
Spend your day exploring the fairytale town of Sintra. Once you wake up in the morning, take a 45-minute train from Rossio Station to Sintra. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation. The moment you step into the town, you’ll feel its charm, with cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and lush hills surrounding the historic center. To get around in Sintra, take bus 434 to loop between Palácio da Pena, Castelo dos Mouros, and Sintra town!

Palácio da Pena – visit the colorful hilltop palace with stunning architecture. Dont miss exploring the walking trails that lead to amazing viewpoints in the forest for the most amazing photos.
Quinta da Regaleira – explore the magical gardens and secret tunnels
Sintra town center – stroll historic streets, shops, and cafés
Optional: Palácio de Monserrate for a quieter palace and garden experience
Day 5 – Azenhas do Mar & Cabo da Roca
On your final day, head to the western coast of Portugal. Explore the cliffside village of Azenhas do Mar, with its whitewashed houses and stunning ocean views. Continue to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, and enjoy a scenic hike along the coastal trails to take in dramatic cliffs and hidden beaches. Afterward, return to Lisbon in the evening, reflecting on the beauty of Portugal’s coastline.
Trail Route (Rough Description):
Begin at the Cabo da Roca lighthouse parking area. Follow the footpath heading north along the cliffs. The trail is mostly dirt and footpaths, with some rocky sections.
You will pass several dramatic cliff viewpoints, perfect for photos of the Atlantic and the rugged coastline.
Continue along the path toward Praia da Ursa, a hidden beach accessible via steep steps from the cliffside trail. The full hike to the beach and back is roughly 3–4 km round-trip and takes about 1.5–2 hours at a moderate pace.
Return along the same trail to the lighthouse and get a taxi to Azenhas do Mar before the sunset to enjoy a nice meal
Alternative Option (More Relaxed):
Instead of hiking, you can visit Cabo da Roca, explore the lighthouse and cliffs, and then take a taxi down to Azenhas do Mar for a more leisurely visit.
